About The Trainer

A life long dog owner, I trained my first dog (an Irish Setter named Tara) 30 years ago. In 2005, after retiring from a successful career as an international banker, I decided to turn my passion and concern for dogs into a full time occupation and in July 2005 I enrolled in the prestigious Tom Rose School for Professional Dog Trainers in St Louis, Missouri.

I returned to the New Hampshire seacoast at the end of 2005, and now split my time between working in New England and Chicago.

I have also attended intensive training with Karen Pryor Clicker Training, where I had the privilege of being taught by and working with Karen Pryor, Kathy Sdao, Ken Ramirez, Jesus Ruiz Rosales,Viriginia Broitman, Sherri Lippman, Emma Parsons, Kay Lawrence and Joan Orr - pioneers and experts in the field of clicker training animals (and people).

I have trained adult and young dogs for clients of the Tom Rose School as well for hundreds of clients in the New England. I am trained in preparing dogs for tracking, narcotic detection, and competition obedience, but restrict my practice to working with pet owners to teach obedience and behavior management. I also work with clients interested in preparing their dogs for therapy work. Please do not hesitate to call or email me for more information or for references.
